Tasheka Robbins Accounting Manager
Tasheka originally hails from Jamaica, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of the West Indies at Mona. She pursued accounting because of her fondness for numbers and a propensity for identifying discrepancies. In 2009, Tasheka moved to the United States with her family and started her career as an accountant at a small CPA firm in Maryland. Involved in everything from payroll, AP, AR, Taxes, Audits, and reviews, Tasheka gained valuable experience during her two years working there.
Seeking a new challenge, Tasheka accepted an accounting job with a government contractor for the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program. She spent the next five years at Job Corps which — along with an intrepid move across the country to San Francisco — included two promotions: first as Purchasing Manager and then as Finance and Administration Director, where she was known for her problem-solving skills and her ability to expertly manage a budget of over $17M a year. She even earned her MBA and CPA while working full-time at Job Corp!
In her free time, Tasheka enjoys traveling with her friends and family, caring for her Siberian Husky, and cooking delicious Jamaican cuisine. She also LOVES Christmas!
