Crystal Estrada joins Propeller with over 10 of years experience in accounting and business operations. Throughout her career, Crystal has demonstrated a passion for lifelong learning, taking a creative approach to solving problems and making mission-centered decisions.
Prior to joining Propeller, Crystal served in a diverse set of roles within non-profit organizations helping lead the change from start-up to steady-state. This included creating human resources departments from scratch, setting up and managing the organizations’ first balanced budgets, long-term financial planning and modeling, and overseeing the financial operations for independent private schools. By implementing consistent financial policies and procedures, she was able to lead the organizations in significant financial turnarounds and provide strategic direction for moving forward.
In addition to working in non-profits, Crystal worked in public accounting overseeing the financials for companies across multiple industries and assisting in audit field work. Her experience also includes working with startup companies in the oil & gas, restaurant and construction industries.
Born and raised in Texas, Crystal graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.A. in English and minors in Business Administration and History. She currently serves on the board for Attendance Records, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing arts education in under-funded public schools. Outside of work, Crystal enjoys baking, crafting, getting lost in art museums, reading and soaking up the Texas sun at the nearest watering hole.
