Mike is originally from the suburbs of Chicago. He went to school at the University of California – Santa Barbara to escape the dark depths of winter and immerse himself in a completely new environment. While at school, Mike obtained degrees in Economics/Accounting and Psychology and also played Ultimate Frisbee for the Black Tide, UCSB’s Men’s team. In addition, Mike founded and served as president and captain of the UCSB club Disc Golf team, taking the team to the Collegiate National Championships in consecutive years in 2013 and 2014.
After graduation in 2016, Mike started his career with PwC as an auditor in the Financial Services sector of San Francisco. Mike quickly obtained his CPA license, completing his testing within six months of employment. After 18 months with PwC, Mike was ready for a change and joined Propeller as a Staff Accountant seeking learning opportunities surrounding operational accounting with small businesses.
In Mike’s free time, he is now an active Professional Disc Golfer, competing in events across the Southwest region when he can. Mike holds three world records related to disc-sports. When he’s not competing in various events, he is an avid home brewer, loves exploring new microbreweries, is an active moviegoer, and enjoys most any outdoor activity.
