Brad Knop has over 25 years of experience successfully managing the finance and operations of a variety of technology, software and financial services companies. His ability to steer start-ups from ideas to profits is highly valued by Founders and Investors. Brad is currently a Partner with Propeller Industries.
Prior to Propeller, Brad held the COO/CFO position at Livebooks – managing all aspects of the company including the Finance, Customer Service and Technology Departments. Prior to this, Brad was the CEO of Xtracycle, a socially responsible outdoor lifestyle/bicycle company. In the late 1990′s, Brad was co-founder of two separate streaming media companies, MediaCast and Webcast Solutions. As COO, Brad managed all operations and investment activities, including business and financial planning. He successfully piloted Webcast Solutions from start-up to a $50 Million acquisition by Starmedia in 2000 where he became General Manager of the Broadband Division and managed 150 employees in seven offices in five countries.
Prior to this, Brad was Managing Director – International Ventures at First Deposit (which later became Providian), where he directed main business units within the company over the course of eight years including new account acquisition, customer retention and product development. At Providian, Brad developed multiple product areas including several that became core business lines within the company – leading one from start-up to over 1,000 employees and over $1 Billion in assets under management. He also successful developed Providian’s international division, where he worked in Mumbai, India as well as other parts of Asia and Europe.
Brad received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. When his head isn’t buried in business plans and spreadsheets, he relaxes by renovating his third house…this time an 1876 Victorian farmhouse in Sonoma County. His wife and two young boys keep his free time full of outdoor fun and adventure.
